ANNOUNCING JEFF BLANCHARD AND FLORENCE McCAFFERTY, HUMAN CENTERED DESIGNERS AS PARTICIPANTS FOR JULY 19 SHOWCASE

 

Jeff Blanchard is a Creative Director and has been designing products and services in various capacities for the better part of 20 years. He loves working with stakeholders through complex problems, engaging them in the work, and enabling them to add their voice to the design. His drive to experiment, learn rapidly through dialog and be inclusive of multiple perspectives comes from founding or being part of several startups and growth-oriented companies. These environments demand to listen to experience from all sides, trying new things, pivoting from what doesn’t work, and using all available resources at hand. And a lot of hustle.

 

Florence McCafferty is a User Experience Researcher and sees design as a powerful tool for public good. She came to design by way of non-profit administration, where she was frequently disappointed by a common failure to bring clients into the conversation when evaluating and attempting to improve services. Driven by a genuine curiosity and care for people, she seeks to uncover each individual’s expertise using her innate social intuition and learned UX research methods. She uses the insights derived from these interactions with real people to design solutions that are not just idealistic, but actually, remove obstacles and improve their lived experience.

 

Jeff & Florence practice Human Centered Design together at Highland Solutions, listening to uncover the felt needs that people have, and further including them when possible in co-creating products that will make a difference in their lives.

We are excited Florence McCafferty, Jeff Blanchard and Deena McKay,  as participants for July 19th’s showcase. Glappitnova brings passionate and talented people from different backgrounds and industries together sharing what matters most unlocking human potential. He will have 10 minutes to do anything and we have not clue what it might be. There is storytelling, performances, panels, debates, and more in a hidden warehouse.
