Announcing Tech Leader Mike McGee as a Glappitnova Storyteller

Glappitnova is pleased to announce Mike McGee, Co-Founder of The Starter League, as a Glappitnova Storyteller
Mike’s story of founding The Starter League is well known throughout the Chicago tech community but his mission and message is greater. He will be sharing his insights at 6:50pm on Wednesday, July 16th.
Mike has spent the past couple years turning his self-taught coding knowledge into a movement that empowers other people to solve their own problems.
Thankfully, Mike has already shared some great tips on how to create a community or movement. He tells us to: a) solve a meaningful problem, b) have a powerful story to tell, c) don’t be afraid to share your ideas because they are meaningless without execution, d) keep it simple, and lastly, e) allow the community to share in ownership.
“We had people who cared just as much about the idea as we did, and they were willing to be active in bringing more people to the community.”
We think this is a powerful message in building anything successful and something Glappitnova has taken to heart. We have collaborated with several fresh and diverse organizations, including Network and Social, MAFA Chicago, Sin Label, The Numbered Days and Chicago HOPE to join the Glappitnova movement.
Mike and Glappitnova have a common goal of wanting to help others. In the end, the most successful people in life are just as motivated to help other people succeed, which in turn makes them more successful.
Purchase tickets here for Mike’s Glappitnova session on Wednesday July 16th at 6:50pm.
Glappitnova unites young influencers from all industries through live storytelling, live performances, and various classes for one week in Chicago. Thanks to our Universal Sponsors, Crain’s Chicago Business, RedEye Chicago, and Miller Coors for making this event possible.
