Announcing Perkins+Will’s Julia Lenaé Weatherspoon for Glapppitnova Bay Area
We are super excited to have Julia Lenaé Weatherspoon as a participant for our Glappitnova Bay Area showcase held at Uber’s Headquarters. At Glappitnova participants from a variety of industries and backgrounds will have the stage to do anything for 10-minutes. Appetizers and beverages will be provided for this free and +21 event. Julia Lenaé Weatherspoon is an Architectural Designer at Perkins+Will and has experience working on corporate, community, and civic projects in the San Francisco Bay Area region as well as redevelopment projects at SFO International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport. She remains curious about the built environment and believes that design should focus on the needs of the end user. Passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion within the design industry, she is interested in Social Responsibility Initiatives to better serve and educate programs for youth exposing them to the arts and science.
Outside of work, she is also a member of the American Institute of Architects and holds a leadership position on the executive board for the San Francisco Chapter of National Organization of Minority Architects, Bay Area Urban League Young Professionals, National Association of Adventurous Black Women, and many more Bay Area non-profit organizations promoting diversity and inclusion in the Bay Area.
