From Good Morning America to Weathernation, Announcing Marcus Walter
Marcus Walter is an On-Camera Meteorologist at Weathernation, and we are super excited to have him on the Glappitnova global committee with expansion to new markets.
Marcus earned a Bachelor’s degree with honors in meteorology from Penn State University and a Master’s degree in Atmospheric Science from Cornell University. He also holds an American Meteorological Society Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) seal and National Weather Association Television Seal of Approval.
Before working as an On-Camera Meteorologist at WeatherNation, Marcus was a meteorologist with FiOS1 News in the New York City, a weather anchor for WKYC-TV in Cleveland, OH, and a studio-live producer for Sam Champion and Ginger Zee at ABC’s Good Morning America.
Living through intense winter storms and intense summer heat and storms in suburban Chicago is what inspired him to become a meteorologist. Also, television is his first “window” to weather and the work of a meteorologist. And after meeting a real meteorologist, he decided to pursue a degree in meteorology and pursue a career as a broadcast meteorologist.
