It’s Time For Sunday Funday Funkraiser with The Simple Good
It’s time for some great music, a live art showcase, plenty of awesome people, free beer, and the launch of The Simple Good’s first conscience fashion line hosted at Threadmeup in collaboration with the Glappitnova festival. This “Sunday Funday Funkraiser” July 12th will convert the stories of youth in Chicago into live art created by 10 awesome artists, and sell printed conscience shirts with quotes on it.
Help voices of youth transcend onto you and your community by buying a The Simple Good Tee! 100% of sales go towards supporting TSG After-school art programming focused on empowering youth to participate in positive activism in their community, and in turn, our world. Shirts are only available for a limited time so purchase today! To attend the event buy a Simple Good t-shirt’s through ThreadMeUp for $25 here, or simply donate on-site upon arrival. Suggested donation is $25. Check out one of the stories below, and we’re curious with what artists on-site will create from this.
We treat each other like family members. I depicted my simple good in my painting by painting a member of this community. I used bright colors to represent this member of the community. To me, bright colors resemble kindness. I plan on using my meaning of the ‘simple good’ in my community to improve it by trying to be as kind as I can possibly be.’
– Henry, former Cabrini District, Chicago
