Chef Golden

The hilarious Auburm Gresham Chicago native Chef Golden is the winner of the Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen Season 12 episode 26 entitled “Spilt Happens.” Using her amazing skills while adapting to sabotage situations she edged out the other talented chefs in the final round with an nontraditional banana split. Moore is the current sous chef for Mount Sinai’s WIC Department, and has worked in the Signature Room, Dolce Italian, and Lawry’s Steak House.

Aristotle Loumis

Aristotle is passionate about building ideas and products that connect people. He the CEO of the socially conscience Ellison eyewear, which creates custom eye-wear and pairs funds helping various eye care systems for people around the world. One of eight children, he was raised on the principles of hard work and education. After dedicating majority of his young adulthood pursuing a dental degree, he decided to chase an entrepreneurial dream after meeting his father by chance in Greece. Want a one-on-one chat with him? Kristi Dula

Born and raised in Texas, Kristi Dula now considers Chicago home. She believes greatly in the power of “creating conditions for serendipity” – which happens to be what brought her to Chicago. Recently, she joined Pritzker Group as their first Network Relations Manager. Prior to Pritzker Group, she was VP of Events and Content Creation for 1871, Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center’s flagship technology incubator. Her other interests include co-organizing We Are Wearables meetups, sitting on the associate board of the Greater Chicago Food Depository, volunteering for Chicago Cares, and random adventure days. You can always ask her about “random adventure days” – they are quite fun!

Xavier Ramey

Xavier Ramey is a Chicago-born social strategist serving as the Senior Assistant Director for Social Innovation and Philanthropy at the University of Chicago. His background includes working as a Senior Program Manager overseeing $4m in philanthropic funds for United Way of Metro Chicago, as a consultant for several NGOs in Kenya and Ethiopia, a Development Director for a small nonprofit in Chicago’s North Lawndale community, and as a co-founder of a commodity trading firm based at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. His out-of-office work consists of being a radical voice for change within systems of power. He is a social justice-focused speaker for several online publications and radio stations, and works as a prison abolitionist-activist with The #LetUsBreathe Collective. He is the founder of a photography company that serves to document social justice activity in the Midwest, and serves on multiple Board of Directors across the city.

Scott Issen

Scott Issen is President & CEO of Future Founders, a non-profit that believes every youth can become an entrepreneur and has served over 30,000 youth to date. Prior to Future Founders, Scott was Managing Director at the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center, which now runs 1871, and provided strategic guidance to high-growth entrepreneurs. Scott has over 15 years of experience in entrepreneurship, management, leadership and fundraising. Scott graduated magna cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and was named to the Crain’s “40 Under 40″ list. Scott serves on the Chicago Regional Cabinet for Wash U, is on the board of Mishkan Chicago, and is a member of The Economic Club of Chicago.

WHAT IS THE GLAPPITNOVA CELEBRATION?

We mix entrepreneurship, culture, and entertainment around the world through underground showcases with extremely talented people spanning all industries. At the signature showcases expect storytelling, performances, networking, and a great first hand experience. The global celebration is July 7th – July 14th. With the large “The Big Night” showcases in Chicago July 13th, and July 14th. Ticket prices increase July 1st.
