Announcing Forte Chicago As Participants For July 17th Showcase
Improvisation, opera, and sketch comedy intersect at Forte Chicago. This troupe of directors, puppeteers, designers, and classically-trained musicians explores the place of the modern female in the world of classical music and seeks to give the trained artist new freedoms within old forms. We are super excited to have Forte Chicago at participants on July 17th 8:30 pm – 8:40 pm. There will be multiple programming and participants for the showcases spanning July 17th – 19th.
Their mission is to devise and create new work, support and perform existing material by female composers, and bring new and accessible operatic works to audiences. Forte Chicago is also passionate about providing training for female artists and invests time in exploring our boundaries as an ensemble in order to find the particular “forte” of each individual artist.
