Announcing Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance Kristina Minor On Committee

Kristina Minor is the current Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance at Rutgers University, former Assistant Director of Compliance at the Big Ten Conference, and we’re super excited to have Kristina on the Glappitnova global committee. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Juris Doctor degree in Law from Marquette University, and current M.B.A candidate at Rutgers University.

Name sounds familiar?

Maybe because Kristina helped with Glappitnova’s expansion to New York with our first-ever test showcase that was sold out in 48 hrs, or because she’s from a rich history of African-American tennis players making US history highlighted in the New York Times. Younger sister, Bri is now the first African-American Women NCAA Division 1 singles champion. The only other African American NCAA Division 1 tennis champion was Arthur Ashe.

New York Times

“The family’s love for tennis was passed on like a treasured heirloom. The sisters’ maternal grandfather, James Minnefield, paved his own path in Anderson, Ind., becoming his high school’s first black tennis player in the 1950s. A generation later, his daughters became the first African-Americans on the girls’ tennis team.” – By  Kelly Whiteside
