Glappitnova is pleased to announce Luvvie Ajayi as a 2014 Glappitnova Storyteller

We thought long and hard trying to come up with one word to describe Luvvie, and we’re simply “Unable to can.” What’s that mean you say? According to Luvvie’s hilarious “Glossary of Random Stuff I Say,” it is an alternate way to say “I can’t.”

Luvvie is an award-winning writer, humorist and digital strategist who believes in using the power of technology for social change. Her personality packs a serious punch and we were fortunate enough to recently have Luvvie share her insights on using social media to be a better connector.

A ten-year blogging veteran, she is the voice behind Awesomely Luvvie, a respected entertainment and humor blog that covers everything pop culture – from TV, movies and technology to life’s random adventures. Her latest site is Awesomely Techie, which aims to teach people how to use technology to make life easier.

Luvvie is passionate about social justice and is equally addicted to shoes. She combined these loves in 2009 when she, along with Karyn Watkins, founded The Red Pump Project. Red Pump is a nonprofit that raises awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls. As Executive Director, she leads the national executive team and network of ambassadors in 5 states. Their work has earned them a Congressional Record from the U.S. House of Representatives and Resolutions by the Illinois State Senate as well as the City Council of Chicago. Red Pump has been featured on the Huffington Post, in EBONY Magazine, the Chicago Sun-Times, A&U Magazine, NBC and more.

Purchase tickets here for Luvvie’s Glappitnova session on Wednesday July 16th at 8:10pm.

Glappitnova unites young influencers from all industries through live storytelling, live performances, and various classes for one week in Chicago. Thanks to our Universal Sponsors, Crain’s Chicago Business, RedEye Chicago, and Miller Coors for making this event possible.
