Announcing Kouri C. Marshall As A Storyteller

Kouri serves as the Chief of Staff to Cook County Commissioner Richard R. Boykin of the 1st District. Previously, he served as the former Executive Director of Democratic GAIN, the national membership organization based in Washington, D.C. for progressive political professionals and organizations. We are super excited to have Kouri as a storyteller at Glappitnova for showcase #1 held July 13th 9:40 pm – 9:50 pm. He said his session will be about the experience of him and Mark Zuckerberg in Chicago. Get your tickets below.

At GAIN, Kouri worked to build the party’s talent base with an eye towards increasing diversity in the ranks of campaign operatives. In this spirit, Kouri was featured in an article for Buzzfeed Politics, calling on the 2016 Presidential campaigns to further diversify their ranks, advice which the Clinton and Sanders campaigns appear to have taken in their staffing just days after the article’s release.

Kouri is the recipient of Campaigns & Elections Magazine’s 2016 Rising Star award, one of the campaign industry’s most prestigious honors. Kouri also received the 2013 Outstanding Young Alumni award from Eureka College, the alma mater that he shares with President Ronald Reagan.

After the 2012 election cycle, Kouri founded his own public affairs firm, 3K1A Strategies, to help political candidates and corporations to reach their target audiences. Now, directing Commissioner Boykins office, Kouri is expanding the office’s reach with an effort to connect more constituents with services, organizations and opportunities to thrive.

Kouri has been featured in U.S. News & World Report and has made appearances on C-SPAN.
