Glappitnova is excited to announce poet, educator, and organizer Kevin Coval as a 2014 Glappitnova Storyteller

Kevin Coval is the poet the Chicago Tribune called “the voice of the new Chicago” and who the Boston Globe says is “the city’s unofficial poet laureate”. Kevin is heavily involved in everything Chicago, and is well known for his founding of Louder Than A Bomb: The Chicago Youth Poetry Festival, his role as Artistic Director of Young Chicago Authors, and for teaching hip-hop aesthetics at The University of Illinois-Chicago. He also has written for a wide variety of publications including CNN.com, The Chicago Tribune, Huffington Post, and National Public Radio’s Chicago affiliate WBEZ, among others.

Glappitnova is fortunate to have already seen Kevin share his best tips on becoming an artist. His number one piece of advice? “Don’t be whack!”

Purchase tickets here for Kevin’s Glappitnova session on Wednesday July 16th at 6:40pm.

Glappitnova unites young influencers from all industries through live storytelling, live performances, and various classes for one week in Chicago. Thanks to our Universal Sponsors, Crain’s Chicago Business, RedEye Chicago, and Miller Coors for making this event possible.
