Announcing Steven Rosado, Senior Program Director, Mikva Challenge On Segregation Panel for July 17th Showcase

We are super excited to have Steven Rosado, Senior Program Director, Mikva Challenge Citywide Youth Councils as one of the panelists for “The Cost of Segregation”  July 17th. According to the Metropolitan Planning Committee, it’s a 4.4 billion dollar issue in Chicago. Let’s discuss how it affects us millennials and strategies we can use to combat it in a raw, informal, and organic environment. Steven is a Chicago native and is currently the Senior Program Director for Mikva Challenge’s Citywide Youth Councils (CYC’s). CYC’s work to strengthen youth participation in the formation, implementation, and evaluation of public policy in city government around a variety of issue areas such as education, health and wellness, housing, juvenile justice, and community safety. Steven has over 10 years of experience in the field of Youth Development, with a focus on Social Justice Youth Development. Steven received his Bachelor of the Arts in Race & Ethnic Studies and Gender and Women’s Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his Master’s in Education from the University of Illinois at-Chicago.
