From Child Star to, Spamiliton, to even American Idiot, Announcing Actor and Writer Becca Brown for July 17th Showcase

We are super excited to have Becca Brown, actor/comedian/musician/writer as one of the many participants for the showcases spanning July 17th – 19th. Becca Brown is a Filipina-Jewish actor, musician, comedian, and writer. She has been performing guitar since the age of 4. In the 4th grade, Becca performed on the NPR show From the Top, which eventually led to her being discovered and cast in the 2003 film School of Rock. Since her brief stint of child stardom, Becca has been a prominent force in Chicago’s theatre scene, having performed in Gerard Alessandrini’s Spamilton, a parody of Hamilton, and the Chicago premiere of American Idiot. Glappitnova brings passionate and talented people from different backgrounds and industries together sharing what matters most unlocking human potential. Becca has worked with The Second City in Chicago on several sketch revues and has performed improv, sketch, and standup at iO, Laugh Factory, and many more staples of the Chicago comedy scene. Becca is a member of the 2018 School at Steppenwolf Ensemble. Currently, Becca is writing a series with Addison Heimann about her experiences as a D-list child star. Becca is a proud SAG and AEA member represented by Shirley Hamilton Talent.
