Do you remember last year when Lili K tore down the stage at Glappitnova’s The Big Night showcase? Now, she is the first featured emerging artist on Jay’z Tidal music streaming service.
This year at Glappitnova the performance talent is unbelievable. Let’s just announce a little tidbit. With over 30 participants from different industries, the talented Sam Trump and B Forrest will be taking over the Glappitnova stage with some storytelling, and a light performance at “The Big Night” showcase. Check out this awesome acoustic performance below, so you can prepare yourself for what’s about to happen at Glappitnova. Come out and support the Chicago talent from all industries. You never know who is in the audience at Glappitnova. It could be that music executive, investor, athlete, artist, startup founder you always wanted to meet… but in an authentic setting.
Sam Trump
Sam “Trump” Harris is a trumpeter, singer/songwriter, and recording artist, whose artistry can be simply define as authentically dynamic. Trump currently tours full-time with Chicago based, live HipHop/Soul/Jazz band, Sidewalk Chalk, where he plays trumpet and functions as a co-composer. Outside of the band, his most recent self-produced project, SAM TRUMP PLAYS THE UKE, captures a Soul/Jazz/Folk vibe with alluring lyrics and transcending harmonies. While this unique switch to ukuklele serves as a testament to his evolvability, Trump plans to continue expanding as a creator to find new ways to share his God-given musical talents with the world.
B Forrest
Hailing from Chicago, guitarist / songwriter B Forrest’s palette of audible paint contains the colours blues, folk, love, and soul. His debut album “Back to Bodhi”, released this past May, was a seed turned tree over the course of last year. The self-produced album (also released limited edition on vinyl) was recorded DIY in a coach house in Logan Square. His song, “Grown Child (ft. Sam Trump)” was a John Lennon Songwriting Competition finalist and his latest release, the “Lament” animated video is due to appear soon on Australia’s Rage.
